Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has provided his thoughts on the Champions League group stage draw for his side.
The Bianconeri were drawn against Barcelona, Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencavros in Geneva.
Understandably, the prospect of Cristiano Ronaldo taking on Lionel Messi at this stage of the competition for the first time excites the ex-Lazio winger.
“Our matches against Barcelona will be a great challenge,” Nedved said in an interview with the club’s in-house media.
“It will be fascinating too because it it a confrontation between the two players who are, in my opinion, the best in the world: [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi.
“In addition, Miralem Pjanić and Arthur will also face each other so that’s another interesting note about the game.”
There also appears to be no chance of Juve taking the other two sides lightly, with Nedved already doing his homework.
“Dynamo Kyiv are a very solid team and have an expert coach in Mircea Lucescu,” he added.
“He made history with Shakhtar and if we have to go to Ukraine in the winter, it will be extra difficult.
“The Hungarians are unknown as they aren’t regular Champions League opponents but knowing Hungarian football, they’ll be very talented.
“We’ll have to be careful in all of the games because in the Champions League, any team can cause you trouble.”
