The future of Paulo Dybala continues to torment both Roma and the ex-Juventus star.

Despite yet another brilliant season with the Giallorossi which resulted in 16 goals and 10 assists in 38 total appearances, Dybala found himself excluded from Lionel Scaloni’s provisional squad for Argentina’s upcoming friendlies and Copa America tournament in the US and Canada.

Scaloni’s decision is said to have deeply hurt the Roma attacker who was convinced of his place in Argentina’s squad after his impact in the World Cup final two years ago.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Dybala is expected to make considerations for his future this coming summer – the player is about to turn 31 and the next may be his last important career contract.

His current deal with Roma expires next season and there is still a release clause which is valid for clubs outside of Italy until the end of July.

He also has an option whereby if he stays in Rome without renewing he just needs to play 50% of the matches to get an automatic extension.

With the imminent arrival of new Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, Dybala’s entourage are hoping to address their concerns for the future.
