Juventus forward Paulo Dybala will leave as a free agent this summer after deciding against a contract extension, reports reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Bianconeri had been in prolonged talks with Dybala over an extension, with his current deal expiring this summer.

Romano adds that a recent meeting with Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun also ended with no conclusion, and the Old Lady have now decided to part ways with the Argentine playmaker.

Juve had initially proposed a deal worth €8 million and €2 million in bonuses until 2026, and Dybala looked poised to sign an extension.

However, the Italian giants suddenly lowered their offer, and they never budged from it during the negotiations.

Dybala joined the Turin giants in 2015 from Palermo and has since made more than 200 appearances while winning five Serie A titles.

The 28-year-old has a lot of suitors from Premier League and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Barca have identified Dybala as an alternative for top target Erling Braut Haaland, who is wanted by a host of European giants this summer.

Atletico manager Diego Simeone is keen to join hands with his compatriot Dybala, with Luis Suarez likely to leave Wanda Metropolitano this summer. A report from Todofichajes also claims that the Argentine has given his nod to join Los Rojiblancos.

Besides, Inter Milan are battling for Dybala’s signature as they hope to sustain their dominance in the Italian top flight and be more competitive in the Champions League.
