Paulo Dybala: “Roma is a dream come true.” | OneFootball

Roma attacker Paulo Dybala spoke highly of the Giallorossi during an interview with the Lega Serie A.

Dybala described his time in the Italian capital. “Everything to do with the Roman Empire has always caught my attention, I don’t know why. Maybe I was Roman in another life.”

“Rome is magical, when I was a child in Argentina I only saw Rome through movies and my impression was that it was a huge city. The first day I arrived in Italy, I arrived in Rome. For me it’s a dream come true to be here.”

“I like to see the city, admire it more than anything else. As I said before especially at night everything is illuminated and this makes it even more beautiful. It’s another thing at night.”

”It’s hard to walk around Rome, if someone recognises you, he or she stops you and everyone does the same. At first they are ashamed or afraid but if one has the courage to take a selfie everyone does it.”

“Italy has an important role in my life. I have been living here for over 10 years, all my adolescence to this day. I have always lived in Italy, in different cities but always in the same country where I met incredible people. It is a country that has taught me so much. I have met people in the south and north and now in Rome. They treated me well from day one.”

“I think Italian in general is very similar to Argentine. The fans are very similar. The passion for the club, the strong feelings, the love of the jersey.”

“I often watched Roma matches. If you’re not inside this reality it’s hard to know what it’s like to be here. People here live and breathe for Rome. I am Argentinian and I will feel forever Argentine, but Italy is a second home and I hope it continues to be for a long time.”
