Despite a slight dip in form before the international break, Paulo Dybala ranks as the best performing player in Serie A this season, according to WhoScored.

The Juventus forward has scored 11 times and provided two assists in just 12 games, winning widespread praise and comparisons to Lionel Messi.

And according to WhoScored, he has been statistically the best player in Italy so far.

WhoScored uses a special algorithm compromising of over 200 individual statistics to calculate their player ratings, which are on a scale out of 10.

At 8.14 for the season, Dybala is just ahead of Lazio duo Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto.

He will be hoping to continue his impressive start to the season when Juve travel to Sampdoria on Sunday.
