Roma attacker Paulo Dybala was happy to rejoin his national team after returning from injury.
The player had been forced to miss the last two international call-ups due to nagging injuries that got in the way of his return to Argentina.
On Saturday, Dybala travelled with Roma teammate Leandro Paredes to Argentina where they reunited with Lionel Scaloni and his men.
In his introductory press conference, Dybala addressed several topics including the impact of Jose Mourinho on his career.
“I’m happy to be back. I told Leo Paredes, when we got on the plane together, that it’s wonderful to come here. I didn’t respond to the latest call-ups due to injury, but now I am here. I feel good now.”
“Mourinho? He’s very important for us and has a soft spot for Argentine players including Leandro.”
“My position? I play where the coach decides. With Roma I play a little more to the right but obviously that entirely depends on what the team requires at the given moment.”
