Paulo Dybala has had a remarkable impact at AS Roma since his arrival on a free transfer from Juventus last summer.

Since Jose Mourinho persuaded him to move to the Italian capital, the Argentine forward has become the club’s talisman, producing stellar performances consistently this season.

The 29-year-old, who was also part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning squad, has racked up 13 goals and eight assists.

He has helped Roma become a top-four contender in Serie A and progress to the knockout stage of the Europa League.

However, reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed Dybala has release clauses in his contract, which may not come as good news for Giallorossi fans.

Italian clubs can sign him for €20 million this summer, while it will cost foreign clubs €12 to prise him away.

However, the clause pertaining to Italian clubs will become invalid if Roma increase his current salary from €3.8m to €6m.

But the real worry is the clubs abroad have an excellent chance of signing him in the summer.

Several clubs were linked with Dybala last summer. Inter Milan appeared to be the favourites before Roma snapped him up after Mourinho intervened.

Many European giants will probably rekindle their interest in the Argentine star, especially after seeing his spectacular form with Giallorossi.

Roma will be hoping to keep hold of Dybala, who has repeatedly stated that he has been loving life at the Stadio Olimpico.

Mourinho’s men suffered a 4-3 defeat against Sassuolo last night, during which Dybala came off the bench and scored in the second half.

The setback prevented them from potentially moving to second place in the Serie A rankings.
