As announced by the Austria FA and reported by Kicker, Paul Wanner will join up with Austria as they hold a training camp for players born between 2000 and 2005. The training camp will be held in Croatia with Austria national team boss Ralf Rangnick and Austria under 21 boss Werner Gregortisch in attendance.

Wanner is a dual national of both Germany and Austria through an Austrian mother and a German father. The attacker has made several appearances for the German youth teams at the under-17 and under-18 levels over the past couple of years. This will be Wanner’s first time with the Austrian national team.

The 16-year-old is the youngest debutant for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and Champions League making his debut for Bayern against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the league back in January, before making his Champions League debut against Viktoria Plzen this season.

This season Wanner has been on the bench for seven games this season, only coming on in the games against Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.
