Pogba, who turned 30 yesterday, has picked up a muscle injury last Sunday while practising on free kicks. It is the third different injury of his season and he’ll be sidelined for at least three weeks as exams showed a low-grade tear to his right thigh adductor.

“Pogba is the first one to be unhappy with this situation. We see him giving a lot of efforts and our will is to see him back on the pitch as soon as possibile”.

Pogba signed with Juventus last summer as a free agent after leaving Manchester United. His contract runs until 2026 and it has been reported that his salary is around €10 million per year.

After his latest injury, there have been speculations about some discontent inside Juventus’ board with the club ready rediscuss the terms of the contract.

Calvo cut short these rumors by saying: “We strongly believe in him. He knows perfectly what we expect from him as we talk on a daily basis. We’re following him but we’re unhappy about this situation the same way he’s unhappy”.
