Paul Ince insists he has no desire to leave Reading after he was previously linked with the Cardiff City job.
The Bluebirds made the decision to sack Steve Morison earlier this month and it was suggested over the international break that Ince was in the mix to take over.
Whilst that was dismissed days later, the Royals chief was yet to speak to the press about the speculation but he made it clear to the Reading Chronicle that he is very content where he is as he tries to plan for the long-term at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
“I feel I have more time to achieve what I want to achieve here than anywhere else. I wouldn’t say I feel complacent, but I feel happy here. This owner let’s us get on with it. We’re trying to bring the fans closer to the players. Why would I want to leave that?
“If you look at my managerial career, I’ve been at clubs for eight months, never for more than two or three years. I feel more confident in what we’re trying to do to make it a special club.”
Ince’s side, who are third in the Championship, are back in action against Huddersfield tomorrow.

The verdict
This is good for Reading fans to hear as it shows that Ince is totally committed to what the club are trying to do and feels he has the right backing from those above him.
In truth, few would’ve expected Ince to leave for Cardiff, if they were genuinely interested, but it does show how his work is appreciated.
Now, his only focus will be on continuing the good start the Royals have had as they seek three points against Huddersfield.
