Two leading members of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona have this weekend sent messages of well wishes the way of now-former teammate Iñigo Martínez.
This, of course, comes fresh off the Spaniard bringing a sudden close to the Blaugrana chapter of his career.
Iñigo’s Camp Nou departure was made official this weekend.
After two years on the books of Barcelona, and after playing a leading role in Hansi Flick’s XI just last season, the 34-year-old made the call to head to Saudi Arabia, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Iñigo is known to have been a hugely popular figure in the dressing room in Catalunya’s capital, with his exit having therefore come as a heavy blow for his Barca teammates.
Nevertheless, many have since taken to social media to send messages of farewell and good luck to the experienced stopper over the last couple of days.
And as alluded to above, adding their respective names to this list over recent hours were two of Iñigo’s defensive partners in Hansi Flick’s ranks.
As showcased below, both Pau Cubarsí & Ronald Araújo took to Instagram, to wish Iñigo all the best in the next chapter of his career:
