He commented on his joy at seeing the fans back inside the Stadio Olimpico this season.

Playing at the Olimpico is always a joy, because we’re in front of our own people. Seeing the stadium full and celebrating the goals is beautiful.  We have to draw great strength from this and instil fear in our opponents.

Finally, Patric discussed this evening’s opponent, Cagliari, who recently dismissed coach Leonardo Semplici and replaced him with Walter Mazzarri.

Cagliari is a team that can assert itself and with valuable players.  We have to be ready for a match that will be difficult, like all the others.

The 28-year-old Patric, who is contracted to Lazio until next year in 2022, has made one appearance so far this campaign, playing the full 90 minutes in the 6-1 win over Spezia.

The Biancocelesti currently sit ninth in the Serie A table and a win against Cagliari today could see them rise as high as sixth.
