Day 10 at the World Cup saw us move past the halfway point for games at this World Cup as more sides reached the knockout stage.
We look back on the best of what happened and what lies ahead on day 11.
The Netherlands and England’s qualification was never really in doubt and they showed that with comfortable wins.
But the scenes and celebrations from both Senegal and the USA as they punched their tickets to the knockout phase was fantastic to see.
With the pressure of a nation on his shoulders, Ismaïla Sarr had the audacity and nerve to pull this off.
Qatar will officially go down as the poorest performing World Cup hosts ever.
And he did so with a perfect group stage hat-trick of sorts – netting them with his right foot, left foot and head.
There was also a big milestone for England with Rashford’s thunderous free-kick.
The Chelsea star is becoming the USA’s lucky charm.
Unsurprisingly, that request was swiftly denied.
The last World Cup game Lionel Messi ever plays? Perhaps not but it could be.
His heroics against Mexico have given Argentina a boost but they still have a big job to finish off against Poland, while Saudi Arabia and Tata Martino’s side both still harbour hopes of advancing.
Australia also take on Denmark in what is effectively a winner-takes-all game to join France in the last 16.
Messi got many plaudits for Argentina last time out but their upturn in creativity and positivity came after the introduction of Enzo Fernández off the bench.
There is a huge clamour in his homeland for him to start in midfield and surely Lionel Scaloni will hand him the keys to the engine room.
His goal against Mexico was a thing of beauty and he has the potential to light things up against Poland.
