Paris Saint-Germain face Real Madrid in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup tonight.
Luis Enrique’s side are chasing quintuple success after lifting Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Trophée des Champions and the Champions League in 2024/25.
The winners of tonight’s tie at the MetLife Stadium will return to the venue to face Chelsea in Sunday’s final. The Premier League side beat Brazil’s Fluminense in their semi-final on Tuesday.
Luis Enrique will need to reshuffle his defence for tonight’s tie. Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez each received red cards late on in the quarter-final win over Bayern Munich and are suspended for the semi-final.
Lucas Beraldo is expected to come in at centre-back alongside Marquinhos in the absence of Pacho.
Elsewhere, Ousmane Dembele’s involvement continues to be limited. The club’s leading scorer has featured for just 48 minutes at the Club World Cup across two substitute appearances. In his absence, former Real Madrid full-back Achraf Hakimi has been a key contributor. The Moroccan has two goals and an assist at the tournament to date.
PSG predicted XI: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Lucas Beraldo, Nuno Mendes; Vitinha, Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Kvaratskhelia, Barcola.
Paris Saint-Germain take on Real Madrid in their FIFA Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday 9th July 2025. Kick-off at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey is 8pm BST.
