Paris Saint-Germain 'ready to make a move' for William Carvalho

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Sporting Clube de Portugal star William Carvalho this summer.

The 25-year-old has been consistently linked with a move away from the Portuguese club over the past few seasons, with West Ham, most infamously, nearly signing the midfielder.

A falling out between the owners of those respective clubs meant Carvalho didn’t make his move to east London, but he’s kept on impressing in Liga NOS.

And Foot Mercato have today revealed that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen on the signing the Portugal international, as they look to bring in a long-term replacement for the ageing Thiago Motta.

A bid of €40m should be enough to see him leave Estádio José Alvalade and join the Parc des Princes side.
