Paris Saint-Germain have a great chance to sign Liverpool star Sadio Mane this summer, reports BILD.

The Senegalese international has been heavily linked with an exit come the summer, with his contract expiring at the end of the next season.

With all of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Mane’s deals expiring in 2023, it looks unlikely for the Reds to keep hold of the attacking trio, especially when the latter two are seeking pay rise after growing in stature.

While Bayern Munich were said to have expressed their interest in Mane, PSG have now emerged as the new favourites.

Another reason that the 30-year-old is stalling the renewal talks and prefers a move to PSG is due to the high salary he could earn at the French Capital.

A well-known instance is Georginio Wijnaldum’s transfer from Anfield to Parc des Princes last summer. The Dutch midfielder was thought to be on course to join Barcelona before Les Parisiens hijacked the deal in the last minute by offering him a lucrative package than the Catalan giants did.

PSG will have to reinforce their attack, with Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi likely to leave this summer.

While the Ligue 1 Champions’ objective is said to be bringing in more young faces – as Lionel Messi and Neymar in their 30s – signing a world-class forward like Mane, who is at the peak of his powers, is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Mane has netted 22 goals and five assists in all competitions this term and lifted the African Cup of Nations with his national team as well.

He is looking to make the season even more prolific as the Reds have a great chance to achieve the quadruple, having already won the EFL Cup and FA Cup.
