Newcastle United were cruelly denied a famous Champions League win on Tuesday night as Kylian Mbappé's stoppage time penalty rescued a draw for Paris Saint-Germain.

United had led through Alexander Isak's close-range finish and had defended valiantly throughout in the French capital, only to be undone when Tino Livramento was harshly penalised for handball following a VAR check in the game's dying moments.

Mbappé's spot-kick pegged them back but it is still all to play for in Group F, with the Magpies' final group game against AC Milan at St. James' Park in just under a fortnight set to be an unmissable occasion.
