Paris Saint-Germain, in collaboration with Novotel, is delighted to unveil the Legendary Room celebrating Claude Makélélé at Novotel London Bridge. As part of the global Novotel Legendary Rooms initiative, this immersive and bespoke hotel room brings to life the legacy of one of PSG’s most iconic players, offering guests a unique blend of storytelling, design, and hospitality.
A Tribute to a Football Legend
The Legendary Room at Novotel London Bridge pays homage to Claude Makélélé, renowned for his contributions to PSG and the wider football world. From achieving 188 appearances in his three-year tenure at the club, to totally redefining the Defensive Midfielder role in world football with the position colloquially named after him even today, this room offers a window into Makélélé’s remarkable journey.

About Claude Makélélé
Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2008, Claude Makélélé quickly established himself as a key figure in midfield, thanks to his experience and vision of the game. Over three seasons wearing the Red & Blue jersey, the midfielder played 118 matches. A leader both on and off the field, he brought his leadership and sense of teamwork. The French international (71 caps between 1995 and 2008) notably contributed to the pursuit of a French Cup, a title won with the club in 2010.
