It’s been a busy summer transfer window for Paris FC, who could be on the verge of another big coup.

The newly-promoted Ligue 1 side have their sights set on Amadou Haidara (27), according to L’Équipe, with the Malian international playing the majority of his senior career with Red Bull clubs.

At the moment, the 27-year-old is at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, with reports indicating the Parisians are in advanced talks with the German side. The connection between the two clubs may be a key factor in why discussions are happening so quickly, as Red Bull holds a stake in both teams.

Haidara would add plenty of experience to a side playing in the French top flight for the first time in 46 years. The two-time Austrian Bundesliga champion with RB Salzburg has made over 150 appearances in the German top flight and was a part of the team that made it all the way to the UEFA Champions League semi-final in 2019-20.

Adding Haidara would be another big move for Stéphane Gilli’s men with the Ligue 1 season just around the corner, one of many the club have already made, also signing Moses Simon (30) and Otávio (23).

A U-17 FIFA World Cup runner-up with Mali, Haidara has collected 46 caps for the senior squad, while he captured a pair of German Cup titles at Leipzig. He’s currently under contract with the German side until the summer of 2026.
