Paris Brunner fires DFB team to top spot in the group | OneFootball

BVB striker Paris Brunner played a key role as the Germany U17 national team prematurely reached the second qualifying round for the European Championship.

At the qualification tournament in Chisinau, the Germany team recorded two wins against hosts Moldova (4-0) and Latvia (2-0). Having bagged the opener in the 4-0 victory over Moldova, Paris Brunner then netted a brace against Latvia.

Those goals helped the team, who can no longer be ousted from first place in their final game against Slovakia, seal top spot in the group. Brunner is playing alongside Borussia's U17 left-back Almugera Kabar in the DFB team. BVB youth players Kjell Wätjen, Raul König, Gökdeniz Gürpüz and Bruno Numbisie are also part of the squad.
