Speaking to reporters after picking up a Manlio Scopigno and Felice Pulici award for best director, the Juve man clarified Juve’s January transfer movement.

“Our squad is complete and we consider it to be one of the best in Europe,” he replied when asked about Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

“We’re happy with our players. I’d rule out the arrival of a full-back. With Mandzukic, we chose a quiet time for him [to leave] but a move to Qatar did not materialise so he stayed with us.

“Now we’ll see what happens in January.”

“Ronaldo? For us he’s very important, we’re happy about him like he is about us. I have no doubts that he will stay, both at the end of this season and next.

“De Ligt? Even Nedved, when he arrived in Turin, had problems adapting to the team for months and he always reminds me.

“I’m confident Matthijs will give us great satisfaction. Rabiot needs time, it’s not easy get back playing after a long time out.”
