Paolo Maldini will return to AC Milan after the club confirmed his arrival as Director of Strategic Sport Development.
The legendary defender left the Rossoneri as a player in 2009, having played over 650 times for the club and winning 25 major trophies.
The Italy international was left in the cold by the San Siro outfit after his retirement much to the dismay of many supporters.
However they have announced on Sunday that the 50-year-old will come back home to take up a board level role as a director.
