Peru captain Paolo Guerrero has seen his ban from football overturned and will be allowed to play at this summer’s World Cup.
The striker was banned for one year in December 2017 for testing positive for cocaine.
The 34-year-old consistently maintained his innocence, insisting that he drank contaminated ‘coca tea’.
Guerrero took his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland, who upheld Fifa’s ban.
However, at a Federal court in the same country, they have overturned the suspension, which means the goalscorer will be able to take to the field in Russia.
Peru have been drawn in Group C alongside France, Denmark and Australia.
