MIAMI – The Final of the 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship will feature Panama against Canada on Sunday at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
As finalists, both nations have sealed their participation as the two Concacaf representatives in the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup Philippines 2025.
Panama reached the semifinal with a victory against Costa Rica. Kenia Rangel and Laurie Batista were key players to seal the ticket to the final. The highlight moment of the game came from goalkeeper Nadia Ducreux, who scored the third and final goal from her net as Panama showed different offensive resources.
Canada clinched its ticket to the Final after a great comeback against Mexico, winning 4-3 on PKs after a 4-4 draw. Losing 3-nil, The Canucks fought their way back with goals from Jade Houmphanh, Cynthia Gaspar-Freire, Esther Brossard.
Brossard sealed her brace to get the lead before Mexico equalized in the final seconds, requiring extra time and penalty kicks to decide a winner. The Canadian win would have not been possible without goalkeeper Léa Palacio-Tellier, who was the standout player as she stopped two Mexican chances in the spot kicks.
