Panama are the reigning runners-up and will seek to begin its path back to the championship match. Guadeloupe will seek to return to the Knockout Stage for the first time since the 2009 edition.

Panama v. Guadeloupe – Gold Cup Series Tied at One Apiece
This will be the third-ever meeting between Panama and Guadeloupe in the Concacaf Gold Cup. Their head-to-head series is currently even, with one win apiece. These are the only two matches the nations have ever played against each other—there are no records of friendlies or other official competitions between them.
Their first encounter came on July 5, 2009, in Group C play at the Oakland Coliseum, where Guadeloupe pulled off a 2-1 win. Loic Loval (32’) and David Fleurival (42’) gave the islanders a two-goal lead before Nelson Barahona pulled one back for Panama in the 68th minute.
The second matchup took place on June 7, 2011, again in Group C, this time at Ford Field in Detroit. Panama edged out a 3-2 win, with goals from Blas Pérez (29’), Luis Tejada (32’), and Gabriel Gómez (57’). Brice Jovial scored twice for Guadeloupe (65’, 79’), but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Panamanian victory.
