Chelsea will face off against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road this Saturday afternoon as they try to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Blues managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace recently which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this contest.

Mauricio Pochettino will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling could get an opportunity to play from the start of this clash after they both served their one-match suspension in midweek.

Defence

Dorde Petrovic will continue to operate in between the sticks for the Blues after he shipped in one goal in his last league appearance. Benoit Badiashile will function alongside Axel Disasi at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they focus on restricting the opposition from scoring during the 90 minutes.

Malo Gusto will try to catch the eye as the right-back while Levi Colwill hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to get forward and offer some decent service to their teammates up top.

Thiago Silva will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher will anchor the midfield alongside Moises Caicedo as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer will operate just ahead of them as part of the Chelsea attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to create enough chances for the Blues to win this match at Kenilworth Road.

Mykhailo Mudryk will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Armando Broja will lead the charge for the Blues up top. He would be keen on causing some problems for the Luton defenders during the game.

Christopher Nkunku will get a rest on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Pochettino’s men are in need of a goal by then.
