La Liga giants Real Madrid have received a request from their counterparts at Palmeiras, regarding the immediate future of youngster Endrick.
That’s according to Goal Brazil, who have this evening provided an insight into the latest developments surrounding the Madrid-bound frontman.
The name of Brazilian sensation Endrick has of course found itself centre stage in the headlines in Spain’s capital for some time now.
This comes ahead of his imminent arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The explosive attacker is primed to link up with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in July of this year, after at long last turning 18.
The Real hierarchy, back in 2022, agreed to fork out a hefty sum, with the potential to rise to €60 million, to bring him in from Brazilian giants Palmeiras.
Endrick, for his part, is widely considered to be a star in the making, with the success enjoyed by fellow countrymen Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo in Spain having only culminated in the excitement surrounding his arrival mounting ever further.
And yet, if the Palmeiras brass have their way, as much will not take place for some time yet.
As per a report from Goal Brasil, the board at Allianz Parque have forward a request to Florentino Pérez and co, over the possibility of delaying Endrick’s transfer.
This comes with the São Paulo-based outfit keen to hold onto their crown jewel all the way through to December.
Palmeiras have used the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappé in Madrid as the basis of their argument that Endrick’s development may be stunted by a lack of playing time over the early months of next season.
Those of a Real persuasion desperate to see the latter taking to the pitch in the club’s colours, though, need not fret just yet.
This comes amid further confirmation that, as things stand, Los Blancos have no intention of granting Palmeiras’ wish.
Though cautious optimism remains intact behind the scenes in São Paulo, Real Madrid are expected to provide an official response of ‘no chance’ in April.
