Brighton are turning their attention to Abel Ferreira to replace recently-departed Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
The Palmeiras boss is Portuguese and has built up a solid reputation for his work in Europe and South America.
He has a contract with the Brazilian club that runs until 2024, but that would not be an issue for Brighton to buy out.
According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Ferreira does want to stay and win the Brazilian title with his present team.
However, a move to the Premier League is tempting, and Brighton could likely increase his salary significantly.
The Albion are hoping to swiftly move on from Potter, who jumped at the chance to join Chelsea and took his entire backroom staff with him.
