Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will not rest key players against Arsenal, despite Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Oliver Glasner will not be fielding a weakened side when Crystal Palace visit Arsenal on Wednesday night, despite the club’s upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa just three days later.

Speaking ahead of the trip to the Emirates, Glasner confirmed that while Palace are carefully managing minutes due to the intensity of their recent schedule, the midweek Premier League match will not be sacrificed in favour of Saturday’s Wembley tie.

“We are in a good situation, the players are fit and we want them to stay fit so we are always monitoring their minutes,” Glasner said.

“A three-week game is not a big problem, but this is our second three-week game and of course some very intense games. We have to look at what’s best and which players are in the best shape but that doesn’t mean we will make 10 changes tomorrow.”

Glasner was clear in stating that his squad selection will reflect the importance of the Arsenal fixture. “Maybe we will change two or three but that is not because we value the Saturday game more than tomorrow’s game,” he said.

“But we need to be top physically, top mentally to be able to compete with Arsenal. I expect both teams entering the pitch to win the game. We expect Arsenal to play their strongest team. The fans deserve to see the best teams and we will play with the best available team tomorrow.”

With Liverpool watching closely, knowing that a Palace victory would hand them the title, Glasner has confirmed there will be no holding back.
