Following 247 matches with the London club, the versatile Ghanaian is set to leave Selhurst Park, where he has been based since transferring from Leicester City in 2017.
Crystal Palace’s official website featured a heartfelt tribute to the player, highlighting his loan spell at Celtic during the second half of last season, where he helped secure the Scottish Premiership title.
As he prepares to leave the recently crowned FA Cup winners, Schlupp spoke highly and fondly of his time at Crystal Palace. “It’s been an incredible eight years playing for this club,” he said.
“I’ve met some great people – the Chairman, the gaffer, and all the staff I’ve met over the years – and it’s meant a lot to have played for Crystal Palace. A big ‘thank you’ to this group, who have achieved something so special.”

“You ask anybody about the Palace fans, and they know about the atmosphere that they create, and the amount of times they’ve pulled us through in difficult times. They’ve been our 12th man – so thank you to all the fans who have always supported me. Hopefully, I’ve done you proud. I’ll definitely see you again soon.”
Veteran club chairman Steve Parish also commented: “Across nine separate seasons with Crystal Palace, Jeffrey has made many an important contribution to the Football Club – and scored some incredible goals!”

“Whatever has been asked of him – whatever the role, whenever the time – he has given his utmost to, and it speaks volumes that he has made such a great impression in different systems and under different managers.”
Jeffrey Schlupp could very well be back at Celtic next season but that seems to be a subject to Greg Taylor’s final decision on whether to remain at Celtic by signing the new long term contract on offer at Celtic.

Taylor will have to make that call pretty soon you’d imagine and if, as seems increasingly likely, he’s going to head off for a new challenge, that opens the door for Jeffrey Schlupp to sign on for a season or perhaps even two back in Paradise where he loved every minute of his loan spell.
