Pablo Sarabia opens up on PSG departure | OneFootball

Pablo Sarabia, the Spanish midfielder who recently joined Wolverhampton from Paris Saint-Germain, has spoken out about his decision to leave the French club and move to the Premier League. Despite having played with some of the biggest names in football at PSG, Sarabia explained that he wanted to feel like an important part of a team and be more than just an individual player.

“It was amazing to play with Messi, Mbappé and Neymar. It was a very good experience, but for me the most crucial thing is to feel important in the team. I prefer to play in another team to feel that unity, to be part of it, to be a member of the team and of a family, rather than just an addition of individuals,” he told the Telegraph.

Sarabia also talked about the difficulties he faced at PSG due to the high level of competition for playing time. “I was not happy not to play. It’s very difficult to play considering the level of PSG players, so I made the decision to come here. In my career I have been through a lot of difficult moments, but now I want to enjoy. I feel that at this moment, I’m in the prime of my career.,” he said.

However, Sarabia was quick to stress that he has no hard feelings towards PSG and that he had a great experience playing for the club. He also spoke about the role that Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui played in his decision to move to the Premier League. “He called me very quickly [after his appointment in November] I needed the coach to believe in me. We have known each other for a long time. He is a very good coach. I like his DNA, the way he coaches. That’s why I was excited to come here,” he said.

Sarabia is hoping to make a big impact at Wolverhampton and show the fans what he can do. “I want to show the fans the best Pablo Sarabia,” he said. He also expressed his desire to stay in England for many seasons to come. Sarabia’s contract with Wolverhampton runs until 2025, and the team is currently fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
