Over 57,000 fans were at the Nou Camp today to welcome new signing Robert Lewandowski.

The former Bayern Munich striker's presentation was held today.

After being presented to the fans, Lewandowski spoke to the local media: "It's been incredible. My emotions have made me very happy. It's hard to find the words to express what I'm going through. I'm confident and I'm going to show everything I can do on the pitch.

"It's a challenge to come to Barcelona to show everything I can do on the pitch in the games of the season. Also show the experience I have with my teammates. Think about the performance of the team as a whole. Everyone has talent and my experience comes into this combination to explain many things in football.

"I know that Barça is not going through its best moment and the direction of the club. My teammates have a lot of potential. Everything is going well in training. We have to show that we are in a good moment. At this club and with this direction, very different things can happen compared to the previous season.

"Age is a number and it doesn't matter. I feel good to play at the highest level. When the transfer was made it wasn't easy to leave Bayern. For me and my family it was the right step. I'm here and it's the best solution.

"I'm very happy and proud."
