Outgoing Atletico Madrid forward Memphis Depay linked with return to The Netherlands | OneFootball

It’s almost certain that Memphis Depay will be leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer, with reports claiming that the Dutch forward could have his contract terminated in the coming weeks. When he does leave, he would not he short of offers, despite his woes in the Spanish capital over the last 18 months.

ED have reported that clubs in Spain, France and England would be interested in signing Memphis, while it has been claimed by Voetbal International that PSV Eindhoven would welcome a homecoming for the 30-year-old.

Memphis started his professional career at PSV, before moving on to Manchester United in 2015. A return could allow him to revitalise himself, given that the last few years have been very difficult.

Memphis’ situation is likely to be clarified once his participation with The Netherlands at Euro 2024 comes to an end. One thing for certain is that his time as an Atletico Madrid player is all-but over.
