Axel Disasi could leave Chelsea in January and Italian side Napoli have already asked for information about the defender according to reports.
Disasi arrived in west London from Ligue 1 side Monaco in the summer of 2023 in a deal worth £38.8m, and the Frenchman was a regular under Mauricio Pochettino last season as the Blue secured a top six finish.
The 26-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions, with 31 of those coming in the Premier League, but things have been very different so far this season for the France international.
Disasi has started just one Premier League game and hasn’t featured in the league since the 3-0 win away at West Ham in September, where he came on as a second half substitute.
Chelsea are well stocked at centre back with Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana currently Enzo Maresca’s first choice pairing, whilst Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile are also amongst the options.
It appears Disasi is currently last in the pecking order and the majority of his minutes have come at right back, with his only start at centre back coming against Barrow in the Carabao Cup.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this month the Blues were actively monitoring the centre back market with a view to signing a new defender either in January or next summer, which would push Disasi even further down the pecking order.
Given his lack of minutes and the January window fast approaching it wouldn’t be a surprise if reports started to emerge about Disasi’s future at Chelsea and Area Napoli have reported Napoli are interested in the defender.
The report adds the Italian outfit have already asked for information about Disasi, whilst Antonio Conte is said to be a fan of the defender’s profile having tried to sign him whilst Tottenham boss.

Area Napoli add Disasi could leave on loan with teams in the Bundesliga also said to be interested, although there’s no mention of what sort of fee Chelsea would command.
It’s clear that Disasi’s days at Chelsea are numbered and it will be interesting to see what the Blues do if any proposals come in from potential suitors in January, whilst Tomas Araujo is a defender the club are believed to admire.
