Free as of June 30, Didier Lamkel Zé has left Saint-Trond and signed with Qingdao Hainiu, a club in the Chinese top flight. The Cameroonian forward closes the chapter on a mixed season in the Jupiler Pro League and embarks on a new challenge in Asia.

Didier Lamkel Zé saw his contract in Belgium expire without renewal. Signed in January to bolster the fight against relegation, his brief stint at Saint-Trond resulted in four goals from 11 appearances, but was also marked by disciplinary issues and an early end to his spell. The Cameroonian international continues his incredible football world tour.

Lamkel Zé has opted for a new challenge in the Chinese Super League. Qingdao Hainiu, currently 15th and second-to-last in the standings, have called on his experience to try and turn things around in the second half of the season. On the morning of Sunday, June 29, the 28-year-old played his first match in China.
