Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 4-1 victory over LOSC Lille on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes, thanks to a dominant first half that saw them score all four goals.
The Parisians set the tone early when Bradley Barcola found the back of the net in the sixth minute, putting PSG up 1-0. Barcola had passed to Ousmane Dembele, whose curled shot was blocked by goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. Barcola was quick to pounce on the rebound and finish.
PSG wasn’t done yet. In the 22nd minute, Marquinhos headed in a cross at the far post, with the help of Chevalier’s post, to make it 2-0. Six minutes later, Dembele scored again, this time finishing a perfect pass from Joao Neves with a side-footed shot past Chevalier.
The final goal, which came late in the first half, may have been the best. With LOSC looking to regroup, Desire Doue unleashed a powerful shot into the top corner, beating Chevalier and capping off a stellar offensive display from PSG.

Stats du Foot also noted that this was Dembele’s 100th career goal—12 with Stade Rennais, 10 with Borussia Dortmund, 40 with Barcelona, 32 with PSG, and 3 with the French national team.
Nonetheless, the goal against Lille snapped a record held by his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, per Stats du Foot.
As of March 1st, Dembele has scored 18 goals for PSG in official competitions in 2025, the most by any player at this point in the year in the 21st century for a club from one of the top five leagues. The previous record was held by Lionel Messi, who scored 17 goals for Barcelona in 2016.
Dembele was also asked about the upcoming first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie against Liverpool. The Frenchman stated that people should expect an “exciting spectacle” when watching this clash.
“I know it’s going to be a tough Champions League match,” Dembele told DAZN. “We know Liverpool finished first, and they’re also leading the league. It’s going to be a great game—we’re confident, they are too, and it’s going to be an exciting spectacle.”
