Ousmane Dembélé has signed a new two-year contract with Barcelona to bring his long-running transfer saga to an end.
The 25-year-old’s previous deal with the Blaugrana expired on 30 June, which meant that he became a free agent.
However, despite links to top clubs across Europe, with Chelsea said to be the side most interested, the Frenchman has now penned a new deal at Camp Nou until the summer of 2024.
The France international was one of the continent’s hottest young properties when Barça paid Borussia Dortmund an initial €105m for his services in the summer of 2017.
Still just 25, Dembélé has 32 goals in 150 games for the LaLiga giants and finally shook off long standing injury issues last season to deliver 13 assists in 21 LaLiga appearances.
