After being rested for Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 victory over RC Strasbourg Alsace on Friday, Ousmane Dembélé returned to first-team training on Monday, according to L’Équipe.
The Frenchman was suffering from discomfort in his thigh heading into Friday’s match and was therefore rested as a precaution. However, he has made a swift return and participated in first-team training on Monday. There is a good chance that Dembélé will be present in PSG’s squad to face Stade Brestois in the Coupe de France on Wednesday evening.
The same does not go for Nuno Mendes, who has now been out for almost a year. The Portuguese fullback is nearing his return and participated in part of Monday’s first-team session. However, the fixture against Brest will come too soon for Mendes, who will be hoping to make his return imminently. PSG are being cautious with the left-back, whose hamstring injury has ruled him out of action since last April.
