According to a medical update from Paris Saint-Germain, tests have shown that Ousmane Dembélé (27) is suffering from a hamstring strain in his right leg.

The forward was taken off midway through the second half of Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening, having given the Ligue 1 side an early lead in the fourth minute of the game.

It’s expected that Dembélé will not be involved during PSG’s visit to RC Strasbourg Alsace on Saturday afternoon, however, the club are hopeful he will be back for the return leg against Arsenal on Wednesday night, as his situation is progressing favourably.

Dembélé currently tops the Ligue 1 scoring charts, having scored 21 goals in 28 games for the already crowned league champions. Only three games are left in the campaign, with Mason Greenwood of Olympique de Marseille on 18 and Jonathan David of Lille OSC on 16.
