Ousmane Dembele expected to accept lower offer from Barcelona | OneFootball

Reports in the Catalan press today are claiming that Ousmane Dembele is set to sign a new deal at Barcelona, after flirting with moves away for some time.

Even more surprisingly than that, they claim that the winger is going to accept a lower offer than the original one made to him in December.

His current deal runs out this week, and while he’s always claimed he wants to stay put, he never actually signed the deal to make it happen. He may now regret that, as he’s agreeing on worse terms than he would have had 6 months ago.

We wouldn’t be too disappointed – the fact that he’s signing with Barcelona on a lower offer means that there was likely no serious offer from Chelsea.

And the only reason there would have been no serious offer from us, is that we are closing in on other, better targets.
