Ousmane Dembele: "Ballon d’Or Is Sacred, Natural to Be Candidate"
Paris Saint Germain winger Ousmane Dembele's positioned himself as strong contender for the 2025 Ballon d’Or citing his remarkable season with the French club.
In interview with FourFourTwo, Dembele said:
"After season like this with 4 trophy, goals and assists it’s natural to see myself among the candidates for this award"
The PSG star added:
"No individual accolade's more important for footballer. The Ballon d’Or's prestigious, sacred and exceptional when we consider all the legends who've won it"
Dembele revealed that fans were chanting his name during celebrations but he emphasized the team’s focus:
"Honestly, Luis Enrique, the coaching staff and all the players remained fully focused especially during the Champions league final"
The French winger's among nine PSG players in the running for the award including Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves, Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.
