OUR WOMEN'S U15 ARE CHAMPIONS

Article image:OUR WOMEN'S U15 ARE CHAMPIONS

For the second time in history, AC Milan are champions of Italy at the Women's U15 level. The Rossoneri beat Juventus but two goals to nil in the final in Anagni to claim the Scudetto. A splendid six-minute brace by Angelica Ferranti in the second half secured the fourth title for our women's youth teams (including one for the Primavera and one for the U17).

After a first period (of three, 25 minutes each) in which the Bianconere dominated, with two great saves from Matilde Salvalaggio, the Rossonere came out roaring in the second period. It's a great achievement for our girls, who doubled up on the title won two years ago after beating Inter in the derby. This is the reward for a year of hard work all year at the PUMA House of Football.

MATCH REPORT The Rossonere threatened in the third minute through Ferranti, who was denied by the Juve goalkeeper. The Bianconere then went up the other end, and Rulfin tested Salvalaggio, who produced a great save (8'). In the 14th minute, Marinari had a go but Avioli tipped it over the bar. Four minutes later, Salvalaggio made another good stop, this time to deny Oliva. The second period began, and in the 37th minute, came the moment that changed the game. Elshamy played it over for Ferranti, Avolio failed to gather, and the Rossonere's number 9 put it into an open net. Juve looked to hit back in the 42nd minute as Pozzo hit the post, but AC Milan added a second in the 43rd minute, Ferranti firing home to make it a brace. We came close at the start of the third period, but substitute Dan hit the post. Juve's efforts were rewarded in the fifth minute of added time with a Pozzo goal, but it changed nothing: AC Milan are the U15 Champions of Italy!
