Record-breaker Harry

With his early goal, Harry Kane became Tottenham’s all-time leading goal-scorer, passing Jimmy Greaves in the charts with his 267th strike for the club.

Kane’s success for the North London outfit goes to show time, and time again that trophies are not the only things that can land you in the record-books.

Next up for the local hero is chasing down the Premier League’s all-time leader, Alan Shearer.

Kane needs 61 more goals to eclipse the legendary striker after becoming the third player to crack 200 in the league.

The question is, can he do it?

City’s Tottenham curse continues

Manchester City just simply can’t seem to make it work at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

White Heart Lane was a happy hunting ground for the Blues in years past, but since the North London club made the move to greener pastures, it has not been so.

That is now five away games where City have yet to score, losing all five in the process and conceding seven.

While Pep Guardiola’s side had a chance to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal, their lingering curse had other plans.

Spurs are true top-four contenders

While they’ve limped through the majority of this season, Sunday’s gutsy win against Manchester City proves one thing, Tottenham must still be considered top-four contenders.

While Manchester United and Newcastle have both looked convincing at times, Spurs’ ability to hunker down and scrape through games could give them an edge when the pressure is on down the line.

Dejan Kulusevski continues to impress, Cristian Romero caused Erling Haaland headaches before being sent off and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg remains a formidable force. They pulled off a statement win without manager Antonio Conte, too.

With the win, Spurs move within one point of the top-four, with games against both Manchester United and Newcastle still to come. Buckle up.
