First of all, credit to Sadio Mané for scoring 100 Premier League goals and doing so without slotting home a single penalty – becoming just the third player to achieve this feat.

But we need to talk about Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian is in the form of his life and with another goal/assist in this drubbing of Watford, is he the best in the world right now?

Every week, there is an inevitability about him that we’ve seen in players like Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Agüero before – they deliver with freakish consistency.

The Egyptian has now scored in eight consecutive games and good luck to anyone hoping to stop him.

🏆 Title tilt

It feels weird to say this but Liverpool weren’t considered “frontrunners” for the title at the start of this season.

Chelsea spent big and Manchester City will always challenge under Pep Guardiola, but Liverpool were tagging along under-the-radar – and maybe they preferred it that way.

They remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League and after beating Watford, became the first top-flight English side to score 3+ goals in seven consecutive away games.

Everything is coming together at the right time.

😰 Tinkering with trouble

Welcome back to English football, Claudio Ranieri, but there was no sign of a new manager bounce today at Vicarage Road.

Watford’s starting line-up looked quite exciting but once they were out on the pitch, the 90 minutes were nothing but a training exercise for Liverpool who barely broke sweat.

Nobody wanted the ball and when they got it, it was just lumped long. Even when there were opportunities to break, their final ball was beyond terrible.

Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe and undoubtedly title challengers, but the Hornets offered absolutely nothing and that’s a worry.
