What on earth have we just witnessed?

Just unbelievable.

Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the top four and earning qualification for next season’s Champions League were fading away as they were staring dropped points at already-relegated West Brom in the face.

Who knew what they needed was Alisson Becker to make a late run into the box from a corner before glancing a header into the back of the net.

A goalkeeper scoring a 95th-minute winner to keep their season alive?

We’ve just witnessed one of the greatest all-time Premier League moments.

The technique on the header was sublime as well.

Top four hopes still alive

In all the madness it can’t be forgotten how huge this result is for Liverpool.

A draw would’ve meant their hopes of finishing in the top four were all but over but then Alisson did what he did and their fate remains in their own hands.

Jürgen Klopp’s side are now responsible for the longest unbeaten run in the division (eight games) and if they win their last two then will have a huge chance of ending a poor season with a huge silver lining.

It’s Burnley away on Wednesday next for the Reds which will bring a similar test to what they faced today, a task which will be made tougher by the fact there will be fans in attendance at Turf Moor.

It might be left to more late heroics from their goalkeeper.

Where would Liverpool be without Mohamed Salah this season?

It’s a campaign which has seen the dominant champions of last year struggle to make the top four due to injuries to a number of important individuals, but Klopp will be thanking his lucky stars that the Egyptian has stayed fit throughout.

His instinctive left-footed curler from the edge of the box levelled proceedings for the Reds at a time where they looked to be lacking in creative ideas.

It was a stunning strike and his 22nd of the season, which means he is level with Tottenham’s Harry Kane for the Golden Boot.

Salah has kept up his levels where the majority of his teammates have seen theirs slip. The picture would look a lot different if he hadn’t.
