Milan haven’t forgotten about Schalke 04 midfielder Assan Ouedraogo and have opened new talks with the teenage talent’s entourage ahead of the summer.
The 17-year-old German midfielder broke into the Schalke first team last summer and has impressed in the 2 Bundesliga this season, scoring once and providing two assists across 13 league appearances this term.
Back in November, multiple Serie A clubs including Milan were heavily linked with a move for Ouedraogo alongside Juventus and Inter. A deal never materialised despite their interest, however, but that didn’t cause everything to collapse.
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Milan director Geoffrey Moncada has opened a fresh round of talks with Ouedraogo and his entourage to start exploring a possible move in the summer transfer window.
In the 17-year-old’s contract with Schalke, there’s a release clause that’ll be active in the summer, but the Rossoneri are hoping to secure a discount. Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen have all also been linked with a deal.
