For football fans of a certain vintage, there is only one true Ronaldo.
The former Brazil international lit up the biggest stage during the mid to late 1990s with his blistering pace, incredible guile and goalscoring technique.
But the man dubbed 'O Fenômeno' ('The Phenomenon') took things to another level on this day in 1998 as Inter took on Spartak Moscow in the UEFA Cup semi-finals.
Holding a slender lead from the first leg, Luigi Simoni's side suffered an early setback in the Russian capital as Andrey Tikhonov put the hosts ahead in the tie.
A less than stellar pitch at Dynamo Stadium made the Nerazzurri's task all the more difficult as they looked set to be heading out on the away goals rule.
Nothing, however, could stop Ronaldo from demonstrating his class before plundering two second half goals to send the Serie A giants through to the final.
The marksman wasn't finished there as he rounded off a 3-0 win for Inter in the showpiece against domestic rivals Lazio.
Truly a cut above.
