In a world of ridiculous transfer fees, Liverpool completed one of their shrewdest pieces of business in recent history on this day in 2017.
For a nominal £8m, the Reds signed left-back Andy Robertson from a relegated Hull City side, and he has since established himself as one of the best the club has ever seen
Eight years and several major trophies later, Robertson has made over 340 appearances for Liverpool, providing 67 assists along the way.
Robertson is now a two-time Premier League winner and a European champion, having also played an integral role in two Carabao Cup triumphs, an FA Cup win, and victories in both the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
As far as transfer dealings go, it's hard to think of one in recent years that has offered better value for money.
