The two English giants were led by two iconic managers of their time, Sir Alex Ferguson and José Mourinho, as their teams went toe-to-toe in an enthralling contest in Moscow.

United landed the first blow through Cristiano Ronaldo's header and Blues legend Frank Lampard poked in the equaliser before half time inside a rain-soaked Luzhniki Stadium.

Chelsea proceeded to hit the post twice and Didier Drogba was sent off in extra time as the game eventually ended 1-1, leading to a pulsating Champions League penalty shootout.
