Everton won their first - and only - European trophy on this day 40 years ago.
In 1985, the Toffees faced Rapid Vienna in Rotterdam and stormed to a 3-1 victory with goals from Andy Gray, Trevor Steven and Kevin Sheedy.

Johann Krankl scored the only goal of the game for the Austrian outfit late in the second half to make it 2-1, but it was a mere consolation as Everton scored their third and final goal a minute later.
It was truly one of the finest nights in Everton's history.
